2 failing drives on RAID 5; smart array 6i, DL380 G4
Hi,
I had a RAID 1 on this server of which both drives were in a pre-failure state. I added four additional drives and converted it to a RAID 5 with hot spares (4 drives with 2 spares). So now I'm left with two healthy drives, two drives about to fail, and of course, the two hot spares.
So now my question... I'd rather not let the drives fail, but somehow remove them from the RAID 5 and replace them with the new drives. Is this possible? I'm using the ACU, latest version to date.
So simply remove the two failing drives, but keep the RAID 5 intact. If not, what are my options without losing data?
Thanks for any help on this.
