380 G5 Won't Shutdown

When attempting to shut the server down, it restarts instead.

Running win2k3sp2. configuration works fine on a 580, but all 380's reboot instead of shutting down.

Any ideas?

Re: 380 G5 Won't Shutdown

I had the same Shutdown problem on my
new HP DL 380 G5 server running Windows Server 2003.

The NCU (Network Configuration Utility) version (8.70.0.0) was causing the problem. This NCU version came with the SmartStart 7.80.0 CD I received from the factory.
Remove the old NCU utility and install the older NCU utility ver (8.55.0.0) from the HP website.
