ACU (Proliant DL380 G3) : Transform RAID 1 to RAID 0

Hello,

we want to break a RAID 1+0 logical disk into two independent RAID 0 disk.
With the "Migrate Array" option in ACU, i'm not able to reach this because this transforms the RAID 1+0 into a RAID 0 logical disk combining two physical disks.
Our goal is to break the RAID 1 and extract one of the two disks and let just only one.

Looking at the possible operations in ACU, I can see "Delete Array", and "Delete Logical Disk", but both options clearly says that will destroy all data, and I want to preserve it.

Anyone can help us?

Thank you in advance,

Yours

You can't do that trough ACU
What Really you have to do is make backup wipe out your Array Configuration and Create single drives and restore backup.

Re: ACU (Proliant DL380 G3) : Transform RAID 1 to RAID 0

I would do the following:

Create an image of the RAID 1+0 using Symantec Ghost, PowerQuest Drive Image, or Acronis True Image.

Delete the RAID 1+0, and create the two RAID 0's.

Restore the image to the RAID 0 of your choice.

It works great!
