All BL465c blade ilos in c3000 chassis inaccessible

We have C3000 with 2 blades where the ilos have become unreachable and the servers appear with a red cross in the onboard administrator. Tried rebooting the oa, resetting the ilo to default with hponcfg. Last time this happened we had to power off the entire blade chassis to get the ilos back online.
We're running oa version 2.25 and ilo v1.60
Any help much appreciated.

We had the same error repeatedly.

First advice is to upgrade to latest OA and iLO firmware. HP support will ask for that to open a case. Upgrading did not help us.

A month ago we changed OA, network module and several other components in the chassis. Haven't seen the error since, but I am not sure we have got rid of it...

Thanks for the response. That's pretty much the feedback I received from HP. They also recommended removing and reinserting the OA module.

We've had this issue on 3 blade chassis now - very frustrating as powering off the entire chassis is an extreme solution.

We're continuing to have this issue and now we've upgraded all firmware to the latest....2.32, ilo 1.70

Still no help from HP support.

Reinserting the OA module helps in our case if it is done as soon as the error starts to show. Within 10-30 minutes after the first alarm.

After that powering off the enclosure is the only solution.

That's exactly what works for me too. Problem is the issue keeps returning over and over again in some enclosures.

Try latest firmware - Blade Infrastructure 2.41 (26 Feb 2009)

Make sure all Blades ILO in chassis have latest 1.70 firmware

Applied the firmware over the weekend. Should know within a day or 2 if the problem is resolved. This issue is not described in the list of fixes so I'm not hopeful.

Issue immediately reoccurred with v2.41.

HP replacing the OA module - will see what happens.

Are blade BIOS up to date ?
