Backup to SATA Drive does not work
We have a Proliant ML110 G4 with a 4 port SATA RAID card installed. We have the latest BIOS installed. We are using Windows 2003 SB Server and BE ver 11.
We previously were backing up using an external drive via a USB port but needed a larger capacity drive to accommodate all required data. We got a Quantum DLT4V SATA Tape Drive and installed it on one of the on-board SATA ports.
When we try to backup, BE Reports unrecognized or bad media.
We have verified that the drive and media works by mounting it on other servers and running backup jobs with Backup Exec with no problems.
We have tried using a port on the HP SATA RAID controller and by mounting another SATA controller in the unit and attaching to it. Neither of these solutions worked at all.
Can you suggest a way we can use this SATA Tape Drive and BE ver 11 on this ML220 G4?
Thanx for your help with this...
