C-GbE2 - Firmware/Boot Image
Hi Guys,
I am new to these side of the network so please excuse my ignorance. I need to enable RSTP on the interconnects and need to upgrade to FW/Bootimage 2.0.0.
I have got the following files - pGbE2_200.bin and pGbE2_b_200.bin.
The interface says that I need to ensure that I have the same firmware version as the bootimage that I am upgrading to. I have managed to upload pGbE2_200.bin to image2 slot, and I assume that I just change the "next boot" to reference that image2.
How and what do I have to do to get the bootimage up there and loaded?
Regards
Lee

Re: C-GbE2 - Firmware/Boot Image
You can use the management utility.

It includes discovery andd TFTP upload facilities.

Re: C-GbE2 - Firmware/Boot Image
Hi,
thanks for the reply. I have the utility already, it was more the question around the proceedure.
I dont understand the order of events..
I thought by placing the software boot image into "image2" and then referencing that in the "next boot".
But then how does the "firware" get updated?
I can obviously upload the firmware file into the other image "image1", but what do I have to do to get the switch to update to that version?
