Can you Install Dell Open Manage on a HP DL385

Hello All

We are just about to replace our Dell Servers with HP DL and BL's and we simply cannot dump all of our Market facing Dell servers with HP overnight and as you'll know this is going to take time and effort and the migration is going to be in stages.

My question to the group today is can we install either Dell Open Manage application or some form of a plugin from Dell on a HP DL385 server as part of HP SIM Manager.

Has anyone tried simply trying to install Dell Open Manage on a HP Server, we just would like to continue monitor our existing Dell Servers using the HP DL385 with the HP SIM software, or can we have SIM and Dell Open Manage running at the same time with of course different port numbers.

Any ideas.

Thanks

Ravi

According product description you can install DOM to any PC
Same with SIM
Also both applications seems both capable to support third Party HW

DOM
manage their client systems (Dell and non-Dell)

SIM
Provides management of non-HP devices through industry standards such as SNMP, SSH, WBEM, and WMI and the ability to discover and launch vendor-specific web-based management tools.
