Compaq Array configuration utility

Hello,

I'm trying to get an older Proliant 2500 server to run. What i'm looking for is the Conpaq Array configuration utility, that will run before the OS is installed, or i guess i need the "disk config utility" that the Configuration utility asks for when i try to setup an array from that.
Any help i would love to have, thanks.

Phil:
You did not mention what controller you have in this system, but you can potentially use this version of the ACU:

Hope this helps! -john

Here is a newer version (not much) but it may help: http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/proworkstation/us/download/8604.html

Re: Compaq Array configuration utility

Phil:

You need to use a "Windows" system to build the disketts on. Something like Windows 98 or 2000...
Download the SoftPAQ to a workstation HDD and execute the download... then just follow the screen messages.

Re: Compaq Array configuration utility

If you have a SA3200, you may have better luck with this version:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/15125.html

The instructions for creating the diskettes are at the botom of the page...

Re: Compaq Array configuration utility

no, but you see, i don't have windows installed yet. This is before I start the win2k installation.

I also located all the software that came with it. I found SmartStart V3.10 wich will not indentify this SA3200!!!

WOW! SmartStart 3.10! Yeah... thats gona be a bit old.
Do you not have access to a windows workstation (any flavor of windows)? Even a friends PC?
