Could not open boot partition to check boot signature
I have a LXr 8000 that I am trying to OS with W2K.
After the initial format, the files are copied, and the standard reboot.
Then the error "Could not open boot partition to check boot signature"
Thanks for the help.

Re: Could not open boot partition to check boot signature
Hi Perle:
Possilbe I/O read write errors to the drive
- try to check cables and jumper settings on the hard drive
- if this is IDE change to Cable select from master or
try even slave with other hard drive etc.
Best regards,
Tarek.

Re: Could not open boot partition to check boot signature
Its a basic 9.1 scsi drive.
Cabling is good and jumpers are set correctly.
This is just another typical MSBS situation.
MS created the boot partition it cant read.
I have checked everything and made every adjustment I could.
Geeks may inherit the earth....but Linux will the OS.
