DL 320 Repeated Event Errors

I receive repeated disk errors on multiple Windows 2KSP4 DL320's
"Error Detected on Device \device\harddisk0\DR0 during a paging opreation." Event ID 51

This the IDE drive setup for DL320. It occurs during Norton AV scanning and if you run other process system locks up.

I have installed a suggested MS Hotfix KB830051 with no resolution of issue.


Any suggestions appreciated

Hi George:

The IDE Harddisk may be failing or having bad sectors, try tightening the cable connections between the harddisk and motherboard socket, and to run scandisk to check all partitions on that HD.

Thanks, We did run the Seagate HD utlity and it found several bad sectors. Once that was cleaned it seems to have resolved the issue.
