DL180G5+P800 perfomances
I have a DP Dl180G5 with 8 Gb of Ram, a P800 Raid ctrl and 8 Sata 750Gb hdd. Ms Windows 2008 standard 64bit. Have configured a 7 disk level 6 Raid volume. Even with the controller configuration modified to privilege writing perf I'm not able to get more than 90Mbs in sequential writing. tested with variuos off the shelf benchmarking utilities. Theoretical troughput should be 300Mbs, but I'll settle even for half that. ANy idea ?

Re: DL180G5+P800 perfomances
Andrea,
The Smart Array contorller P800 will support a Peak of 300 MB/s, but when you configure multiple Disk and configure RAID the performance will vary .
The performance will decrease in below order.
RAID 0
RAID 1
RID 1+0
RAID 5
RAID 6 AGC
As per my knowledge its normal.
