How did it hang ? When you go back to the Server at which step of shutdown is it ?
Saving settings, shutting down or other ?

When I remote into the server, and I give commend to reboot it logs me of and it disconnect me so I am kicked out of remote, and I loose the connectivity so I am unable to ping the server.

But I would like to know the state of the server when you go beck to the site .
Hanged or already rebooted ?

The state of the server is it just hangs there is does not want to power down either but I do lose network connectivity.

At that point I don't think should be related to RDP .
If you may reach another PC on the remote network (with admin rights) send the shutdown command to the remote server adding the option -m \\servername

Connect through Remote Desktop to another machine on the lan with remote access enabled

Most of teh issues on this list are for XP, i have WIn 2003 server
