DL360G2 Over Temp at boot

I just pulled a DL360G2 out of storage to use as a DHCP/TFTP server for a lab network. It was marked as "good" in storage, and I can trust that 100%. However, about 20-30 seconds after boot, just during the array initialization or shortly thereafter, the system shuts off with a red Health LED and the mainboard "over temp" LED amber. There's no conceivable way this could reach a critical temp this quickly - sitting on a table in a temperature-controlled room. Other than a failed temp sensor (needing a mainboard replacement) any ideas? Nothing's showing up in the IML at all...
