DL360G4 and Smart Array 642
Hi
Is it possible to have a 642 controller as the boot controller?
I have installed the 642 controller and adjusted the RBSU to have the 642 controller as the boot controller, but only the internal 6i controller can see the 2 internal disks.
I recall on other systems I'd have to physically recable the disks to the new controller.
I can see the internal SCSI connector on the 642 controller, but can't see where on the main board I need to disconnect the 6i and connect the 642
any help appreciated
Simon

Re: DL360G4 and Smart Array 642
SCSI cable should be connected from 642 to top right connector if you standing from front. Smaller short cable from system Board should be pulled. For more access pull fan assembly out.
What make Difference for you 642 it's same as 6i if you add BBWC.
