DL380 G3 Riser cage interlock

I have re-installed the riser cage after adding a new card. The riser interlock light is amber, and the internal fault led on the front pannel is red. I checked twice to ensure the cage is seated, and the thumbscrews tight. No luck.
There are 2 devices on the motherboard that look like physical switches, but there is nothing on the cage that could interact with these devices.
What else should I be looking for?

What you think may be switches connect the MoBo to the chassis.

I think the latch mentioned is not for the risercage itself, but a latch within the riser cage for the pci(-e) cards.
You installed a new card right?

I've seen this happen when a faulty or incompatible card is installed in the riser. What model was the card?

Is the PCI Riser Cage PCI-X or PCIe?
