DL380 G4 +MSA 30 + 6402 + Windows 2003 Server boot problem
Hi
We are setting up HP DL380 with an MSA 30 / 6402.
The problem is that it will not boot past the windows 2003 loading screen when plugged in.
You can boot to windows 2003 when the MSA 30 is un-plugged, then plug it in and run the array manager where it detects and creates arrays ok.
I have updated what seems to be all the drivers and firmware.
Everything seems to work ok except windows not booting when its plugged in!
I hope someone can help as this is really annoying.
Cheers Graham

Re: DL380 G4 +MSA 30 + 6402 + Windows 2003 Server boot problem
Where is the OS booting from, internal storage connected to the SA-6i, or external storage, the MSA-30 connected to the SA-6402?
Is the array -> logical drive -> partition the first array created on that smart array controller?
Is the appropriate smart array controller selected in both the ORCA and the RBSU?
If the SA-6402 is detected before the SA-6i by Windows, regardless of which sequence they appear during POST, you may need to check the BOOT.INI.
Do you have only one Primary Partition? Only one marked Active?
