DL380R01 XP/2K INSTALL FAILS

I've a DL380 R01 and have been trying (in vain) to install XP on it.

ROM: 8/14/2004
Firm 8/4/2001
Bios: 12/18/02 P17

From the OS install, I select "Other". I seem to recall on my Prolient 1850R, I had a Win 2K option, but there isn't one on the DL380. I don't know which firmware update would have it, but I've tried several.

The install goes fairly well until "Starting Windows" - then it just stops. No errors. Nothing.

If anyone has a clue, I would very much appreciate it. I'm burning a lot of time just guessing at this point.

Hello John,
What HDDs are you using ? Which CONTROLLER ?
Have you applied RAID ? XP aint supported hence, i would guess the system is not finding the required drivers for the boot.

Hey HD:

I'm running a SA 3200. And yes, I'm a bit concerned about having proper drivers. I've downloaded maybe 10 sets of drivers, but they all lack the TXTSETUP.OEM file so far.

I've looked at the file for other controllers and it looks pretty straightforward. I'll create my own the next time me and that 380 square off to do battle.
