Disable Quad Core? Proliant ML150G3

Hi,

I've installed some software that says it will not work on "dual/quad core cpus" and I need to disable this facility on the server it's a new quadcore single cpu ml150g3.

I've looked in the bios and cannot see that it's possible to disable this. Is there a bios update that allows this or some other hack to get this to work.

The OS is windows 2003 Server
