Drive letter assignment
I have just installed an additional 3 hard disks into a ProLiant ML350 G3, successfully I think. They are configured as a separate RAID 5 array. Per the ACU and the lights on the front of the physical drives there appear to be no problems or errors. However, Windows Server 2000 still doesn't recognize the disk - there is no drive letter assignment. Is there another step that I need to make?

Re: Drive letter assignment
Steve,
If you have configured the raid properly, then do this to partition, format the unallocated space and assigna drive letter.
Rightclick Mycomputer --> Manage --> Diskmanagement on left pane --> Right Click the Drive with Unallocated space and create a partition --> Follow the wizard --> Assign the drive letter when asket , Partition type.
Its left to your choice to decide about the size of partition / number of paritions.
Once done, you can find new drives in MY Computer
