Expand logical volume on Win2000 Smart Array 5300
Hi
I have 6 x 36GB disks configured as i logical volume on a SA 5300 controller.
THis is then configured as a basic win2000 disk (split into both the C: and d:) drives.
I need to add more space to the d drive, so i have upgraded the disks one by one to 72 GB disks.
Using ACU V2.90A I want to now extend the logical volume to use the Unused space.
However when i slect the logical volume and select "Extend" i get the following message
"You have requested to perform extension on this logical drive. Extension is not currently supported on Windows 2000. If the operating system for this logical drive is Windows 2000, please do not attempt to use this feature, as data-loss could occur.
Are you sure you want to continue?"
Is this the case?
Have i any other options?
Thanks in advance for any help
Regards
Alex.
