FAN NOISE ON ML370 G1
I thought I had this problem solved long ago with the Advanced System Management software. The fan used to sound like a jet on takeoff and after I installed the management utility it quieted down to an acceptable level. Last week, the fan would not go down to the lower speed on Windows 2K load. I reinstalled the Advanced System Management, but still couldn't get a lower speed. Am I missing some hardware problem here such as one fan dropping out so the remaining one has to be on high or maybe the 1 Gig CPU is overheating? (This CPU has a heatsink not a fan)
Nothing new has been installed on this this unit and it seems a little sluggish, but it's not the machine I use so I don't have a basis for comparison.
Thanks for any advice.
Renne
