Firmware upgrade of Integrated Smart Array gone bad

Hi

I've tried upgrading an Integrated Smart Array Controller (DL380 G1)from firmware version 1.42 to 1.50. Unfortunately, something went wrong in the process, and when I rebooted the system I got the following error message:

Slot 0 Array Controller failure

Tried booting from Firmware Smartstart CD 7.4, but the rompaq update utility keeps scanning the system forever, so I can't do anything from there.

Any ideas?

Re: Firmware upgrade of Integrated Smart Array gone bad

pull all drives out and if there any additional PCI card, reset Array, Reset SCSI backplane, Clear NVRAM, Power UP without Hard Drives, if Error Still Exist pull ROC out add Drives back and see if you can successfully detect HDD at POST, if works fine replace ROC

in most cases CMD= .... Is fatal error
