Flashing yellow status light - LH3000

I have checked all fans and power supplies with known working devices, but the status light flashes continuously.
Anything else I can check?

Re: Flashing yellow status light - LH3000

Hi Roy,

First, is the server running Windows? If so, you can use Instant TopTools to check the status. You can download it from this link:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=77403&prodNameId=19611&swEnvOID=226&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ns-11142-1

When it's installed, go to the Status tab and check the System Event Log. Be sure to check the most recent Date/Time to see if the log is full. You can also clear the log from here. If there are any current issues with the server it will tell you where.

If you are not running Windows, you will need to use the Hardware Event Log display utility to see the log. It runs off a floppy and can be downloaded from here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=50440&prodNameId=19611&swEnvOID=54&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ns-11635-1

Try that and let us know how it goes.
