Fresh install of W2KServ. on LHPro/NETRAID

Hi all.
I would like to install W2KServer on my LHPro/Netraid.

It is running NT4/RAID5 now, and was set up using Netserver Nav.

I'm assuming I should use a new versions of Net. Nav. and new/updated SCSI utilities.

Has anyone done this & experienced OS issues or incompatable HW?

I have checked the MSFT HCL, and it seems this server can be run on W2K.

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Fresh install of W2KServ. on LHPro/NETRAID

The server supports win2k, but your netraid controller does not. HP does not have a win2k driver for the netraid controller. Although I have seen cases of it working, it's not supported by HP. Also, there isn't a driver for the video adapter in win2k, so you will be stuck at 640x480 and 16 colors.

I have done it fine the lh pro is fine sometimes you have to disable ACPI features during install by hitting F7 aht the hit f6 screen. Also I have had to do the four floppy install sometimes on that machine to get it to dwork. The netraid controller driver is on the windows 2000 CD the only thing that doesn't work is a utility call Netraid assistant.

I forgot to mention that I have had to do a four floppy install sometimes to get it to work too. Just use the netriad 3si w2k driver. It will work doinf the floppy install if needs be.
