G5 ML350 Smart Array E200i won't migrate to better raid level
Hi, I have managed to get some more hard disks for my server so that I could make the disks raid 1, however when I run the ACU and use the migrate function it only gives me the (current) Raid 0 option, I have two unassigned disks in the server so can't see why it won't give me any other options.
Can someone help?
thanks

Re: G5 ML350 Smart Array E200i won't migrate to better raid level
There is a smart array accelerator board with battery backup that is required for RAID 5 options, but not included in some newer Proliant models, as of 2007. Without that card, RAID 5 is not an option. Your hardware manual should say something, but an HP phone call to the server group should have the answer as well.
