GbE2c switch constant gateway ping

One of our customers reports a ping problem to the default gateway. 2 blade switches are configured with the same default gateway, and for some unknown reason, this defaut gateway keeps getting pinged from those 2 switches constantly. Is this some HP mechanism to check if the gateway is still reachable?

Nobody has any idea on thisone? Is this a feature, which can be turned off perhaps?

You need to talk with network guy's, also dedicated group is available for blades
