Gen8 G1610T: Windows Server 2019 B1201i installaion issues

I am trying to install Windows Server 2019 on my new-to-me Proliant Gen8 (bios J06 - 06/08/2014)  but am failing miserably!

I have a 120GB SSD plugged into the internal SATA socket with two 8TB Western Digital Red NAS hard drives in the left-hand slots and two Samsung 2TB NAS drives in the right-hand slots.

Windows Server 2019 installer is on a USB stick plugged into the internal USB socket.

With the bios set to SATA B1201i the installation starts but the system can find no drives and asks for a driver. A driver cannot be found on the installation USB stick.

Intelligent Provisioning on F10 is not avaiable.

1785 drive array is described as not configured. Pressing F5 has no effect.

Can anyone suggest, please, where I am going wrong?

Hello,

Please share the server model number

Check if Windows 2019 is supported for the Gen8 server model from the below link

https://techlibrary.hpe.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/windows.aspx

As per the HPE server OS support matrix, Windows 2019 is not supported on a Gen8 model server.

For any previous version OS, the B120i Driver must be downloaded & need to be injected while OS installation.

Check page 11 for instructions to install the driver manually

Thank you
