HBA card drivers for RHEL5?
When will QLogic HBA card drivers become available for Proliant servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5?
I'd really like to be able to put my virtual servers on my SAN.

Re: HBA card drivers for RHEL5?
What model server/card is it? Do HP support RHEL5 on your server yet?
If it's an older model i wouldn't hold my breath for them ever supporting it.
I have RHEL4 on BL25 & BL45 with qlogic HBA and the Redhat drivers worked fine, especially if you're booting the host locally (not booting from SAN) - Redhat do not support BFS (boot from san) at all and so this is the only reason i actually installed the HP drivers.
Have you tried the 7.71 PSP if you really want the HP drivers?

Re: HBA card drivers for RHEL5?
DL380's G4 and G5's with QLA23xx cards. I've tried manually installing the HBA drivers from PSP 7.60, but that doesn't seem to do the job-- can't setup multipath failover correctly.

Re: HBA card drivers for RHEL5?
David,
The drivers come as source. You have to compile them into the kernel (at least on EL4 you had to).
From memory there are instructions in the driver tar/zip file on what needs to be done.
Have you verified that HP are supporting RHEL5 on that server with FC?
