HP ML 150 G3 and E200i SATA hard drive LED
I've noticed on my ML 150 G3 server with an E200i controller with 4 160GB SATA drives. My 4th drive, parity drive, in slot #4 there are no LED's on. No green light saying it is online. The other 3 drives have the green led on, and the 2nd LED showing drive activity.
I have configured the server for RAID 5 and when I boot up and go into the OCRA it shows the 4 drives and shows RAID level 5.
Is it simply that the LED light on the drive is burnt out or is this telling me there is a problem with the parity drive?
Thanks

Re: HP ML 150 G3 and E200i SATA hard drive LED
More than likely the LED on the SCSI backplane is dead. You can flash all the drive-related LED's using either the ORCA or ACU. Press the F8 key when prompted to enter the ORCA during boot. You can arrow over each drive and flash them.
