[HP Microserver GEN8] 1 sec Black screen with Nvidia Quadro P400
Hi there,
I'm facing a very randomic and strange issue using my HP microserver GEN 8 as a desktop system with a Nvidia Quadro P400 graphics card driving an HP z32 4k display connected through miniDP to miniDP.
As told before, very randomically (consider a total amount of 5 times every 5 hours session) display signal interrupts for 1 second with no video and no audio at all.
Display resolution is set to 3840x2160@59.94Hz
Issue happens both on Windows and Linux with the latest nVidia drivers
Issue happens using different 4K displays (LG 27UD68)
Issue happens using different 4K miniDP cables
Isue happens with the latest Microserver GEN8 bios firmware
Issue happens with different Quadro P400 Graphic cards: my original one was manufactured by PNY, the latest one is manufactured by HP. Both brand new.
Now I'm using the HP manufactured one.
Any idea to solve this issue?
Any VGA bios update?
Any particular HP microserver bios settings?
Ask me for much more details and I'll be glad to provide them.
Thanks to everyone will help me.
Marco

Re: [HP Microserver GEN8] 1 sec Black screen with Nvidia Quadro P400
Hello,
I would like to suggest you follow the below HPE ProLiant MicroServer Generation 8 (Gen8) Quickspace because I did not find "Nvidia Quadro P400" is not listed in the quick space.
HPE ProLiant MicroServer Generation 8 (Gen8) Quickspace
https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04123182.pdf
I would suggest you use only supported components in the server.

Re: [HP Microserver GEN8] 1 sec Black screen with Nvidia Quadro P400
Hi,
thanks for your kind answer.
It seems that the document you posted is unuseful since it lists only HP addons not referring to a proper HW compatibility matrix.
As just told, the gaphic card adopted is an HP reference.
