HP ProLiant ML 330 G2

I bought a new HDD (IDE 200 GB) and i would like to install this hdd into HP ProLiant ML 330 G2. This server has already a SCSI orginal HDD and OS is installed to this HDD. I would like to use this IDE 200 GB HDD as second HDD for backup. But OS detect and install RAID drivers. But i try to format (NTFS), format is not completed and gives an error. How can i use this HDD ? Can i upgrade BIOS ? Please inform me. Thank you.
