Re: HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - RAID1 Configuration

Hi,

My server is still in warranty. But the funny thing is, that I can't download the SPP.

But I will register the serial.

Can I install the OS on the server?

Thanks,

Blusion.

Try to go to

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/home

and click

Manage my contracts & warranties

then you should be able to get the SPP from here

https://h20566.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?idx=&action=driverDocument&itemLocale=&swItemId=MTX_cd2a06e0e3984d8fac09731197&lang=en-us&cc=us&mode=

Re: HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - RAID1 Configuration

Once you are in "Edit my contracts and warranties" you should add the servers serial, then (still signed-in) go to the download page I linked above to download SPP. Once the OS is installed, mount the SPP and run hpsum.bat in hp\swpackages.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - RAID1 Configuration

My results:

Linked support agreements
No entitlements found.

Linked HP Care Packs
No entitlements found.

Linked warranties
No entitlements found.

Once I put the serial number from the HP MicroServer Gen8, I get nothing.

I'm thankful that you're helping me, but what I do doesn't work. Maybe it is that I've no contract at HP, and that's why I can't download SPP.

Re: HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - RAID1 Configuration

Strange. I can't install the OS.

I get:

Load driver

A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB or hard disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD or USB flash drive with the driver on it, please insert it now.

Note: If the installation media for windows is in the DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it for this step.

--

When I get this lovely server, I did the DVD rom on the correct port on the systemboard / motherboard.

EDIT:

I try to make the USB bootable and try to install the OS from there.

Re: HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - RAID1 Configuration

You likely need the driver because of the B120i controller. I would try intelligence provisioning.

Hope this helps!

Re: HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - RAID1 Configuration

OK, I will do it.

Need I go to configure and install or perform maintenance.  And If I need to go configure and install, need I de DVD where the OS on it for installation?

Re: HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - RAID1 Configuration

Configure and install. You need the DVD, because you need an install media.

google

"HP Intelligent Provisioning User Guide for
HP ProLiant Gen8 Servers"

for the user guide

Hope this helps!

Re: HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - RAID1 Configuration

OS is been installed on my server with RAID1. It works.

I want to say thanks for all the help that I've given from you'all.

And I write it down for the next time that I'm not forgotten, like what I said that  it was for me some years ago.

Many thanks!

Sincerley,

Blusion.
