HP Proliant ML 350 G5 Power Supply Problem
Hi there,
is there any truth that there has been a faulty power supply in this particular server?
If so what are the symptoms? What happens when it fails? Will it damage my UPS? Could it affect other equipment connected to the same power source?
Taken from here: http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64/archive/2007/11/08/hp-proliant-ml350-g5-server-experiences-part-5.aspx
"they had an actual manufacturing problem on a series of power supplies, and that their field and support people should know about it. And should work proactively with their customers to get power supplies in the affected range pulled and replaced. So, if you're running an HP DL380 G5 or ML350 G5, talk to your HP rep to determine if your power supply is in the range of known problems, and if it is, get that rep to swap it out BEFORE it fails."
Best regards, Aidan.

Re: HP Proliant ML 350 G5 Power Supply Problem
Aidan,
I have about 60 of these servers and have not had any issue with the power supplies.
