HP Proliant Microserver gen10 - BIOS Management - WinPE
Hi,
I deploy Microserver Gen10 with SCCM. At the beginning of the deployment, in WinPE envrionnement, I update the BIOS and then I'd like to configure the BIOS settings and also, if possible, the Marvel array controller.
I' tried to use the last version (11.20-6) of the HPE Scripting Toolkit. But I'm unable to use any of the tools included (conrep.exe, hprcu.exe or hponcfg.exe) to achive my goal. The behavior for each tool are the following:
- conrep.exe (with the gen10 template) > Memory error during execution
- hprcu.exe > Missing iLO error
- hponcfg.exe > Missing iLO error
Does anybody experience this kind of issue? Does anybody find a way to automatically configure the BIOS on a Gen10 Microserver in a WinPE environnement?
Many thanks in advance for your help,
Blobbx

Re: HP Proliant Microserver gen10 - BIOS Management - WinPE
The Microserver Gen10 uses an AMI system ROM and does not have iLO. The standard ProLiant scripting tools will not work with this system.

The ILO is missing, the Microserver Gen10 does have not an ILO at all.
;-(
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Hi Jimmy,
Thanks for your answer! Does it mean that there is no way to automatically deployed BIOS configuration during a deployment for the MS Gen10?
Thanks,

I don't normally work with this product, so I'm not aware of any automation tools. Maybe someone else will chime in.
