HP Smart Array P420

Hello,

I've just picked up an HP420 however it came with no cache module.

Will I need a cache module to run the card? or can I run it without?

I'm only looking at running RAID1

I forgot to mention that this is going into an HP Microserver N54L

Smart Array P420 is not a supported option for HP Microserver N54L.
