HP proliant microserver g7 RAID 1 hard disk change
Hello all,
We buy one HP proliant microserver G7 and we configure it with two ssd in RAID1. I shut down HP and disconnect one disk, then I power on HP again and send me advertisement, critical RAID1 this is OK, so I shut down HP again and reconnect disk again, and I see critical RAID1. So how can I reconnect it and made mirror?
Thanks!

Re: HP proliant microserver g7 RAID 1 hard disk change
You cannot mirror a spinning disk and a non spinning disk.
Take a backup and restore it.
There never was a G7 microserver, only a first generation and a Gen8.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP proliant microserver g7 RAID 1 hard disk change
I have the same mindset Torsten, but somewhere along the way the original MicroServer offereing was rebranded as a MicroServer G7.
As for the original question, you need to use the raid utility at boot time to kick off the mirror process when you replace a disk
