HPE Proliant Microserver Gen10 Plus - Compatible GPUs
Hi, I currently have a unit of the microserver gen10 plus, currently running on Ubuntun LTS 18.04. I have tried to install a Tesla T4 NVIDIA GPU into the microserver. When I run the command lspci, it is able to detect the GPU as a 3D controller in the PCI slot. However it is not able to connect to the nvidia driver and would always get this message:
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn’t communicate with the NVIDIA driver
Stuffs that I have tried:
- Updating the kernel to 5.X
- Updating the System Rom /BIOS to the latest version - U48
- Checked that secure boot is disabled
- Checked for "4G decoding" in the BIOS but it is not available in the BIOS
Does anyone have a list of supported GPUs specifically for this server so that I can make a separate GPU purchase, or knows if the NVIDIA T4 GPU is compatible for this microserver, or knows the necessary steps required to allow the T4 GPU to run on this server. Thanks

This does not answer the question posted. I have read the documents related to the microserver and found no content about compatible gpus

Re: HPE Proliant Microserver Gen10 Plus - Compatible GPUs
1. MicroServer Gen10 has inbuilt one display port 1.2 which supports 1080p resolution at 144Hz .
2. HPE AMD Radeon Pro WX2100 Graphics Accelerator ( Part No. Q1P47A ) can also be used for this server for exceptional compute performance handling of a variety of workloads
It adds additional graphics power to the native capability of the server as well as providing additional 2 mini-DisplayPort and 1 DisplayPort™ 1.4.
