How to format the ProLiant HP ML350 G4 server disks...

Inorder to install a version of linux i want to format the disks previously. Could someone please decribe the way how to do it... I have smartstart and hp management cd's only.

Using smart Start you may not be able to install linux based operating system.

It would require for you to boot from the OS cd to do the installation however do ensure that you have the raid controller drivers handy

You can boot from the HP SmartStart CD, and then delete and recreate the array(s) and logical drive(s) using HP ACU (Array Configuration Utility).
