IP Console Viewer Software Updates?

We have 2x1x16 console switches for our Proliant servers and use the IP Console Viewer software. The problem is it is the same 3.0 software that came with our switches last year and it seems buggy. It also won't install on Vista.

It doesn't seem that there are any available downloads for the IP Console Switches. Is there any software updates or ways to make use of the switches in Windows Vista?

no there is not IP console SW for Vista

but 3.0 works with this workaround

IP Console Viewer in Windows Vista

Step 1 - after running the SP32892.exe, change the properties of the extracted file in Desktop\Win32\setup.exe to "Windows 2000" compatibility

Step 2 - now run that setup.exe and it should complete successfully

Step 3 - find the Program Files IPViewer.exe in the IP Viewer folder and change the compatibility to Windows XP

Step 4 - change the vista desktop to 16 bit color (32 bit does not work)

Step 5 - now you can run the IP Viewer and configure for your IP Switches and ports

Re: IP Console Viewer Software Updates?

Is there any software updates yet? Vista has been out now for almost 2 years.

Extracting .exe files and changing file properties and color depths is not a solution.
