Installing Server 2016 GUI on an HP Microserver Gen8

HI,

I've been trying to install windows server 2016 GUI (desktop experience) on the HP Microsever Gen8 via a bootable USB onto an SSD.

I can see and have setup the SSD in the HP provisioning software as a drive etc

I can also load the windows server 2016 via the USB from boot to start installation. But when it comes to selecting the drive, none are available.

I found a few tutorials online that allowed my to extract the drivers from the .exe files available on the HP support site. Loading the available drivers still does not display the hard drive.

What drivers are needed?

This is the driver you'll need.

But if you're not going to use the RAID capability, you can just turn off the RAID functionality and enable the standard AHCI SATA controller instead. That way, you don't need any special drivers during installation.

I'm pretty sure in the AHCI configuration, the server will only boot from whatever drive is occupying the FIRST drive bay.
