Issue in starting my new HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 Intel CDC G1610T
hello.
I have mounte the machine, plugged in screen, mouse and keyboard und switched in a sata harddisk. Into the USB I have plugged in a DVD redaer and writer with an inserted windows-7-disk.
Next I have connected the machine to the electricity.
Several times I have startet it by pressing the startbutton. First I was able to start loading the Windows disk, but unfortunately was not able to find the harddisk to install the OS. Lateron whilst repeating the process I wasn't even able to find the DVD-reader and writer.
What can I do? Is there a possibility to start the machine from an USB-stick?
Thank you for helping. Guido

Re: Issue in starting my new HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 Intel CDC G1610T
Make sure you are plugging into the USB 2.0 ports. The USB 3 ports require a driver in the OS before they will function. The embedded controller is SATA only. Defualt configuration is for the Dynamic RAID to be enabled. You need to create a RAID array and get the driver for your OS, or change the controller function to AHCI SATA

During POST you should see a message to press F5 when the disk controller firmware appears, or you can press F10 and access HPSSA from withing iIntelligent Provisioning
