LC 2000
I have an LC2000 and I am attempting to load Solaris 8 on it. In attempting to boot from the Solaris "Device Configuration Boot Diskette", the install gets stuck after selecting the CDRom and the bootable device for installation trying to read the ata.bef file from diskette... Has anyone experience this problem and or can suggest any workaround?
Thanks,
Frank

Re: LC 2000
I did attempt to load from CDROM but somehow the disks are not booting. Actually, I'm trying to find out how to properly burn a ".iso" image correctly onto a CD using HPRecord Now software, because a simple copy does not work.
Thanks for you suggestion and response,
Frank

Re: LC 2000
I don't know Solaris, but be sure to not have a cr-rom problem on your lc2000, it can happens that the cable is damaged by the fan chassis.

Re: LC 2000
Thanks very much for your response. Actually, I know the CDROM drive works find because I have Windows 2000 loaded on it or at least it works with W2K.
Thanks again,
Frank
