Logical Disk Performance Failures after RAID 1 to RAID 5 Conversion
I recently performed an RAID 1 to RAID 5 Conversion on a ML350G3 SBS 2003 SP1.
I am now continually getting the following e-mail Alerts:
'Logical Disk Time Performance Degraded' alarm signifies that this performance property value has exceeded the warning threshold but is less than the critical threshold values and is in this state for atleast a period of 15 data collection intervals.
Details:
Status 'FAILED'
OS Performance Object Instance Name '_Total'
OS Performance Object Instance 4
OS Performance Object Property Value 100
While this Logical Drive was a Mirror I occasionally got these notifications but since the conversion to RAID 5 I am getting these messages continuously.
This Server is completely up-to-date with the Latest Support Pack, BIOS and RAID ROM's etc as well as the latest Microsoft SBS Updates/Service Pack etc.
Is this behaviour normal or do I have a problem?
One thing I haven't done yet is completely power down the Server.
