ML 110 G2, Windows XP BSOD
Hi,
I am aware that only server OSs are officially supported on this platform, however we are cornered by software limitations.
We are able to successfully install Windows XP on a ML110 G2, and all appears to function.
However, once SP2 is applied, the system will BSOD the moment there is significant network traffic. We can perform all the stress tests we want on hard disk, CPU and memory, but the BSOD occurs every time the moment we move a large file across the network.
The issue will not occur under Windows XP Sp1.
We have tried the most recent Intel NIC drivers both from the HP website and Intel website, with the same results.
We are in the process of acquiring a non-intel NIC to try, but was wondering if anyone had anymore immediate advice.

Re: ML 110 G2, Windows XP BSOD
Hi,
We have found that disabling QoS on the NIC (Network properties) resolves this problem.
Can anybody offer advice as to why?

Try the latest Windows 2000 driver, posted in August 2005:
