ML150 G3 - unexpected shutdown - RS Diode Temp
I am busy installing MS SBS 2003 R2 onto an ML150 G3 server and it keeps shutting down (.... Windows is Shutting Down) correctly but unexpectedly!! The MS Event Viewer reports under System Events that it has received an instruction from Administrator to "Power Off", no reason given. The IPMI Event Log in the BIOS reports many of these events, and they look like this:
SEL Entry Number = 259
SEL Record ID = 143C
SEL Record Type = 02 тАУ System Event Record
Timestamp = 04/11/2007 15:35:54
Generator Id = 20 00
SEL Message Rev = 04
Sensor Type = 01 тАУ Temperature
Sensor Number = 4D - RS Diode
SEL Event Type = 81 тАУ Threshold
Event Description = Upper Critical Going High, Deassertion
SEL Event Data = 59 25 36
The RS Diode, Upper Limit is set to just 50 degrees C and there does not appear to be way to change that.
Any suggestions?

Re: ML150 G3 - unexpected shutdown - RS Diode Temp
Did you ever get a solution? We have the exact(!) same problem with a new ML150G3 right out of the box. Identical IPMI log etc.
