ML310 G4, embedded SATA Raid & Array Expand
Hi,
i have a embedded SATA Raid controller on a HP ML310 G4 configured for Raid 1 with 2 Disks.
Now i have changed the first Disk with a bigger one. After the rebuild i have changed the second Disk with a bigger one (same size than the first).
After the rebuild i have only one logical Drive with the old size.
In the HP Storage Manager Help i found a possibility to "Increase logical drive size".
I should right-click the logical drive and press "Expand or change logical drive".
But there's no button.
Could some one tell me the way how to expand the logical drive?
thank you
Alex
(ah.. i had a look at the controller bios, there's no possibility to expand an array)

Re: ML310 G4, embedded SATA Raid & Array Expand
Hi,
i solved it on another way...
rebuild back to the old drives, additionaly insert the new drives, build raid 1 with the new drives, create MS software-raid 1, remove old raid 1 and remove software-raid...
and it works..
