ML310 – Memory upgrade.
ML310 – Memory upgrade.
Hi we have a ML310 which currently has 256MB of RAM installed (factory)
We have purchased 2 x 184-Pin PC2100 (266MHz) ECC Registered DIMM’s and have installed them, however, the system still thinks that it has only 256MB of RAM installed !
We have tried removing the 256 and placing 1 x 512 in it’s place (slot1) and the other 512 in slot2 and still get the same results.
Obviously I am missing something (but what it is I have no idea!)
On boot up only 256MB is detected, and the BIOS appears to have no settings regarding memory configuration as a desperate measure we have re set the CMOS and NVM but still can not get the system to detect the new memory.
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
