ML350 won't boot from SmartArray 641
Hi,
I have a ML350. It has a standard SmartArray 641 card. It is configured to book from a SCSI disk, which it does just fine.
I have now added an Adaptec SATA card into PCI slot 2 and configured a single disc.
Now my machine will not boot from the boot device when the SATA card installed.
My BIOS boot priorities are correct:
1 - HP Smart Array 641
2 - Compaq Integratted PCI IDE
3 - Ultra3 SCSI Port 1
4 - Ultra3 SCSI Port 2
5 - RAID Mass Storage Controller (my new card)
Where do I start looking next please? This is driving me crazy!!!!
George

Re: ML350 won't boot from SmartArray 641
Managed to fix it:
There was a 'BBS' setting on my Adaptec which needed disabling.
No idea what it does, or why it now works.
