ML370 G3 - Failure HDDs (RAID1)

I have two hot-plug SCSI HDDs working in RAID1 (PCI Slot1 Compaq Smart Array 532 Controller) but some times one or both disks fail. Then only allows the reboot (recovery) from disk in Bay1 and not allows copy to disk in Bay0.
Problems with controller?

(OS: SCO Unix OpenServer R5.0.6)

Re: ML370 G3 - Failure HDDs (RAID1)

It could be the disks, the back plane or the controller.

I recomend you to run the Array diagnostics utility from the smart start cd and check for predictive failures or RIS copy failures. Also I would like to know if you have replaced the hard disks lately.

Re: ML370 G3 - Failure HDDs (RAID1)

After checking connections backplane (and with controller) the problem disappear. Then, with ADU I didn't detect any failures. I had already replaced the disks, the old disks are working properly in other server.
I wanna buy some spare modules, should start with SCSI Backplane or controller?
Or wait for failures to run again ADU?
