ML370 G4 simplex backplane cable

Hi there

I have an ML370 G4 server fitted with a duplex backplace (that attaches to the existing simplex backplane on the back of the 6 bay drive cage).

I want to insert 6 drives in here and use the same controller for all of them.

So I need to remove the duplex backplane and run the drives via the simplex backplane.

The problem is that once the duplex backplane is removed there are 2 sockets that need a small jumper cable, a few inches long, to connect them so I can use all 6 drives from the same controller.

It is this cable i am desperately trying to locate, so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated (part number or where I can possibly buy one would be good!).

Many thanks

Phil.

I had the same dilemma with ML350 G4p. The only solution I have found is to purchase a replacement drive cage (366862-001N) with simplex backplane, which includes the cable. Calhoun Technologies of Golden Valley, MN,USA has them for about $100 US.

Hmmm, yeah I'd been considering that as I'm out of options it seems.

Thanks for your suggestion but unfortunately I am in the UK so I'll look a bit closer to home.

Cheers
